Canada to host 2014 Americas Regional Championship

The Americas Federation of Netball Associations Championship Tournament is to be held this year, for the first time in Canada. Netball Canada is especially honoured to host this event in 2014, as this year’s AFNA Championship is of particular importance in the region’s current netball competition calendar.

The tournament serves as the Americas Regional Qualifier for the upcoming Netball World Cup, taking place once every four years, to be held in Sydney, Australia in 2015. The top two teams from the 2014 AFNA Championship will qualify and the tournament will attract international netball teams from across the Americas region encompassing North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Competing Teams:
The following seven countries are currently registered to compete: Argentina; Barbados; Canada; Cayman Islands; Grenada; Trinidad & Tobago; and USA.
