National U18 Team Manager for Youth Commonwealth Games
Netball Canada would like to invite individuals to apply for the position of Team Manager for the U18
National Team which will compete in the Youth Commonwealth Games in Trinidad and Tobago from
August 4th – 12th 2023.
Applicants should:
1. Apply in writing and include a resume with the letter of application.
2. Be a member in good standing of Netball Canada.
3. Be managing a team during the national tournament in the year in which they are managing a
team.
Responsibilities include:
1. Checking player documentation for appropriate citizenship / permanent residency.
2. Coordinating with the Canadian Commonwealth Games Association for all plans for the team.
3. Organizing and purchasing of team uniforms. Collecting appropriate deposits, distribute uniforms, and ensure where necessary that used uniforms are returned in good order. National team uniforms may be used by national team members only.
4. Organizing equipment including balls, bibs, first aid kits for camps, international games and international tours.
5. Organizing travel arrangements for tours and tournaments.
6. Being responsible for all team funds and expenses while the team is on tour. Maintaining a team
account in partnership with the NC treasurer.
7. Communicating directly with players all deadlines for itineraries, player information and
photographs as needed.
8. Educating players about Netball Canada anti-doping procedures and checking all medications
and prescriptions.
9. Having on file player information that includes emergency numbers, contact information,
medical information including allergies medications, dietary requirements etc.
